How Do Lingual Braces Work?
To create your lingual braces, we’ll start by taking digital impressions of your teeth and sending them to a dental laboratory. They’ll use these impressions to create customized wires.
This process takes about six weeks and, once we have your custom braces, Dr. Vo will cement the brackets onto the backs of your teeth in ways specific to your unique needs.
Benefits of Lingual Braces
A truly invisible, discreet option
The braces remain in place throughout the treatment
No forgetting to put your aligner back in after meals
Customized brackets that fit each tooth perfectly
Many people prefer braces behind the teeth since they’re practically invisible. They give patients of all ages in San Antonio a more discreet option.
Dr. Vo places the wires and brackets on the back of your teeth, facing the tongue instead of on the front like traditional metal or clear braces. Generally speaking, more adults choose InSmile and Brius Brava lingual braces because they’re less visible.
Reclaim Your Confidence With Lingual Braces
Lingual braces straighten your teeth the same way traditional braces do. Dr. Katie Vo will use them to apply gentle, continuous pressure on your teeth to move them into better positions, guided by your custom-made Smartwire.
This treatment can take anywhere from six to 30 months, depending on how severe the problem is. Find out if lingual braces are right for your smile at your free consultation with Dr. Vo.
