Which Orthodontic Treatment Is Right for You?
At your first consultation, Dr. Vo will assess your teeth, gums, and jaw to figure out whether your orthodontic issues are minor, moderate, or severe.
After your consult, Dr. Vo will talk to you about your smile goals and your budget. You’ll hear our honest advice about which treatments will help correct your oral issues.
Metal Braces & More
Most patients we treat at Texas Family Orthodontics choose traditional metal braces to straighten their teeth.
While metal braces are the most common type of orthodontic treatment, you have several affordable options at our San Antonio offices.
After your first consultation, Dr. Vo will talk to you about which treatment would be right for you based on your unique needs and smile goals.
Fixed Vs. Removable Appliances
It’s important to for patients in San Antonio to understand the difference between fixed and removable appliances. Dr. Katie Vo attaches fixed appliances like braces directly to your teeth and they aren’t taken off until you complete your treatment.
Removable appliances, like our clear aligners, are worn about 20-22 hours a day but can be taken off easily.
Aside from the obvious differences, clear aligners are best at treating mild to moderate orthodontic problems at Texas Family Orthodontics. Fixed appliances are generally needed for more severe and comprehensive treatment.
